Meet Gerhardt B. Thamm

In early 1945, a 15-year-old Gerhardt Thamm was conscripted to fight on the Eastern Front until the last few days of World War II, experiencing fearsome barbarity and atrocities first-hand. In 1948, Gerhardt Thamm arrived in the United States with little more than his American birth certificate, and that same year, joined the U.S. Army for what would become 20 years of service which included clandestine missions as a secret agent.

Now a retired Florida resident, Gerhardt Thamm has written two books about his amazing life story – from boy soldier to secret agent.

In 2015 he published his first foray into fiction:  Room 526.
